Meet Dr. Jon Menachem, a white doctor who wants the best for all! After the murder of George Floyd, Dr. Menachem called me with a strategy to help increase mentorship for black men pursuing medical careers. He wasn’t just talking, he actually had a plan that could be put in action. He and I go way back to our residency years at Duke where we cared for patients together. From the start, we’ve always had open conversations about race. This is just another one, but this time, open for all to hear.
